Stories From Richert Ranch

Stories from Richert Ranch is an autobiographical multimedia animated documentary film which illustrates stories of growing up on a farm in Northeast Indiana. Throughout the film, different techniques and textures evoke the different animals that the stories are centered around: handmade wool puppets, dense clay which conjures the solidness of cows, and fluid oil paints that capture the liquidity of water which ducks are so fond of. The structure and content of the film to delve into the themes of memory and life on a farm, specifically repetition, disruption, adaptation, relationships, and physicality, both in terms of physical work and rich textures.
